Meet the Founder

Hi There, I am Catherine (Cathy ) Martinez founder of Aesthetic Events. As a San Diego native, I established this business in 2020 to offer the community a unique and personalized rental experience. From Managing our sister store Cynderella Brides in Chula Vista, CA to branching out to the event rental business, With my extensive background in the industry, I have the creative vision and expertise to deliver unparalleled events.

How Did I Get Started?

It all began while planning my 30th birthday. With a love for decorating, I wanted the celebration to be special. I considered renting a champagne wall but thought, “Why not build it myself?” Despite having no experience, I took my determination to Home Depot, purchased the necessary materials, and got to work using YouTube tutorials. To my surprise, my first-ever Green Hedge Champagne Wall turned out beautifully and became a hit at my party.

That success sparked an idea: if I had planned to rent it, why not offer it for rent myself? At the time, champagne walls were a trendy new concept, so I decided to dive in. After making some improvements, including better neon signage, I began receiving rental requests. Seeing something I created from scratch resonate with others gave me the confidence to expand. I started building more—champagne walls, donut walls, backdrops, marquee letters, and numbers.

As I reflect on this journey, I’ve grown my inventory to over 65 marquee letters and numbers, 10 different backdrops, 5 champagne walls, and various other specialty items. Today, I’m proud to offer a full party setup service, from tables and chairs to jumpers, balloons, and more. Though it’s been a challenging road, filled with late-night builds and missed personal events, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’ve built a business from the ground up, created a website with an easy online booking system, and ensured everything was done professionally—licensed, insured, and park-approved.

In the last three years, I’ve expanded into proposal setups, creating unforgettable moments for couples, and I look forward to continuing this exciting journey and taking my business to new heights.
